Product Description
Custom 5-Axis CNC Machined Aluminum Alloy Complex Equipment Housing
Quick detail
This complex aluminum equipment housing is manufactured on 5-axis CNC machining centers. Integrated internal cavity, threaded holes, grooved features and outer bosses are completed in one clamping setup. It is engineered for high-precision automation machinery, reducing assembly parts and improving structural stability.
Product description
This custom aluminum complex housing is processed from solid aluminum billet by 5-axis CNC machining. The part contains irregular inner cavity, radial grooves, threaded holes and multi-angle protruding lugs. Traditional 3-axis machining requires multiple re-clamping, which introduces alignment error; our 5-axis machining can complete most features in a single fixture setup, ensuring high positional accuracy of all features.
At Chenrong Precision, we conduct raw material inspection before production. Our programming team optimizes tool paths to avoid chatter and thin-wall deformation during cutting. After machining, parts go through deburring and cleaning. All critical dimensions, position tolerances and surface quality are fully inspected before shipment. Aluminum alloy features lightweight, good thermal conductivity and high machinability, making this housing widely adopted in automation, testing instruments and precision machinery systems.

FAQ
Q: What aluminum grades can you machine for complex 5-axis parts?
A: 6061 for general structural use; 7075 for higher strength requirement.
Q: Can you do anodizing after CNC machining?
A: Yes, we support natural anodizing, colored anodizing and hard anodizing as post-processing.
Q: Is it possible to modify the cavity structure after prototype?
A: Absolutely, we can adjust CNC program according to your revised drawings for iteration.
Q: What drawing formats do you accept for quotation?
A: We accept 2D CAD/PDF and 3D STEP, IGES files.
Q: What is sample lead time?
A: Normally 9–15 working days, depending on part complexity and tolerance requirements.
-
JDimensional accuracy is reliable. Only a small amount of manual polishing needed on sharp edges. Overall quality meets our mechanical assembly standard.
-
DThe one-piece machined bracket fits our motion module perfectly. No distortion after anodizing. Sample lead time was shorter than we expected. We will launch mass production order soon.
-
EThe custom dense‑fin aluminum heat sinks work well on our new‑energy control modules. Fin deformation rate is very low after CNC milling. Thermal performance matches our lab test expectation.
